Prehistoric Farm Fossils: Dig Sites, Sets, and DNA Lab
Choose a fossil guide by the problem you need to solve. Digging timing explains the release; shovel guides explain period access; collection guides track creature sets; DNA Lab guides handle the exchange. Together they turn an island trip into a specific egg goal without assuming every dig is a fossil.
Track a creature set before choosing another taskUse Prehistoric Farm fossil guides to improve digging, finish creature sets, and take a ready collection to Dr. Ivy’s DNA Lab.
Prehistoric Farm gameplay

Track a creature set before choosing another task
A fossil belongs to a creature’s set. Each Cambrian creature needs five pieces, and pieces from other creatures do not satisfy that same requirement. The collection menu groups entries by period; its entry count is not the pieces required by one egg. Dig Sites can also yield coins or Buried Treasure, so distinguish a non-fossil result from a failed timing input.
Use the shovel guide when a site needs a different tool. Use timing when the shovel can dig but you need to learn the green release. Use the set guide when deciding whether to return to Dr. Ivy on Home Island. The DNA Lab turns a completed set into an egg, leaving incubation as the next task. Surplus carryover after extraction is unresolved, so check the new count before assuming another egg is ready or selling what appears spare. Tool period support does not establish a boat travel gate.

Track a creature set before choosing another task: questions
Can different creatures’ fossils make one set?
Track the selected creature’s pieces; Cambrian needs five for that creature.
Is Cretaceous Seas an ordinary fossil group?
It is a six-entry fishing egg collection, separate from Dig Site sets.
