Prehistoric Farm Boats and Islands: Travel and Upgrade Guides
Plan the trip around a fossil destination and the tool needed there. Boat pages compare seats, speed and handling; island pages identify known periods and the home services used between journeys. Travel and digging access are separate checks, so a tool restriction does not automatically call for a new boat.
Match the boat comparison to a real journeyCompare Prehistoric Farm boats, identify fossil island destinations, and distinguish sailing requirements from the shovel needed to dig.

Match the boat comparison to a real journey
Home Island contains the ranch, dock, DNA Lab, Digby’s Shovels and Bramble’s Feed. Cambrian is the first fossil destination in the opening route, with Devonian, Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous also documented. A return trip turns a completed collection into an egg and lets you check the care waiting at home.
Dinghy, Banks Dory, Console Skiff and Lobster Boat differ in seats, top speed and handling. The larger option does not improve every figure: Lobster Boat has the most documented seats and speed, while Console Skiff has higher listed handling. Compare the offer for the journey you actually want. Exact boat gates and island purchase requirements remain unresolved. In gameplay, reaching Triassic still leaves a Silver Shovel requirement at its Dig Site. Keep the arrival question separate from the tool question, and check live requirements before spending to solve the wrong constraint.

Match the boat comparison to a real journey: questions
Does a shovel period label prove a boat gate?
No. Digging access and sailing access are different conditions.
What is the starting fossil destination?
Cambrian is the documented first fossil island; Home Island is the service base.
