Prehistoric Farm: Reach Fossil Islands by Boat
Plan a Prehistoric Farm boat journey, identify the first fossil island, and check travel and shovel requirements independently.
Reach fossil islands in Prehistoric Farm by sailing in a boat. The official exploration loop includes buying bigger boats for new destinations, while the documented first fossil destination is Cambrian. A trip should answer both where you are going and what you intend to dig there.
The gameplay session sails from the home area to Cambrian and later reaches Triassic. Watch the arrival and subsequent Dig Site prompt as two distinct checks.
Begin with the known starter destination
Home Island is the base with the dock, ranch and DNA Lab. Cambrian is the first fossil island visited in the opening collection route. The starter Wooden Shovel supports that period, making it a concrete destination for the first creature set.
Use the game's actual travel interaction and map for the journey. The documented keyboard reference names E for launching boats in the relevant context. Exact routes, coordinates and launch-menu positions are not established here.
Check what you can do after arriving
A fossil island can require a different shovel for its Dig Sites. Bronze supports Devonian, Silver Triassic, Iron Jurassic and Titanium Cretaceous. These period labels describe tool access rather than proving the boat required to arrive.
In the recording, reaching Triassic does not let the player dig with the starter shovel. Check the site's actual tool requirement before treating another boat purchase as the remedy.
Bring the collection purpose back home
Collect toward a completed creature set, then return to Dr. Ivy's DNA Lab. A Cambrian creature needs five fossils for its egg. Planning that return makes the trip part of the fossil-to-ranch loop instead of an aimless search for a guessed unlock.
Use fossil islands to identify the named periods or boat upgrades to compare travel attributes. Exact island gate prices are unresolved, so check current requirements before committing resources to a later destination. A known shovel restriction alone does not establish a travel restriction.
